Yogita Dawda
As the Founder and Clinical Director of Skinology Medical Aesthetics, my passion for dermatology started during university as an undergraduate and stemmed from my personal struggle with acne throughout my teens and early adulthood. I recall vividly the effect of having bad skin on my confidence, but with the right support, I was able to love my skin and myself again.
After graduating in 1999, I started working in a large NHS teaching hospital where I was fortunate to gain experience in a wide range of clinical areas.
In 2002, I chose to specialise in mental health where I practised as an independent prescribing pharmacist. In 2022, I became one of the first credentialed Consultant Pharmacists by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS), awarded to individuals who have demonstrated delivery of expert level clinical care and influenced positive change across the healthcare.

Throughout my career, I always maintained a keen interest in dermatology and skincare, but it was when my teenage son started suffering from acne and acne scarring that I chose to specialise in Aesthetics Medicine. I started my postgraduate in Cosmetic Dermatology and soon after, a Masters qualification in Non-surgical Aesthetic Medicine, with Harley Academy in London, one of UK’s leading postgraduate Medical Aesthetics training providers, where I was fortunate to train alongside experts in the industry.
My experience of working in mental health and Aesthetics Medicine has led me to understand and treat the dual relationship between mental health and skin conditions known as the brain-skin connection. Skin conditions such as eczema, rosacea and acne can be worsened by stress, yet stress, and wellbeing, can be worsened by the nature of one’s skin. This is the reason why I incorporate wellbeing into each and every consultation and review.
I specialise in rejuvenation and pride in creating discreet, subtle results to enhance and refresh one’s natural individual beauty. I regularly attend courses and conferences to stay at the forefront of the latest practice and advances in aesthetics medicine.

- I am a registered member of the Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP) which is a national safety register that consists of approved aesthetic practitioners in the industry.
- I am a member of the Aesthetic Complications Expert Group (ACE UK).

I am a registered member of the Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP) which is a national safety register that consists of approved aesthetic practitioners in the industry. I am also registered with the General Pharmaceutical Society (GPhC), a statutory regulatory body, making any encounter with you responsible and accountable by law.
In addition, as a member of the Aesthetic Complications Expert Group (ACE UK), I am committed to preventing and managing any aesthetic side effect or complications safely and promptly.
